If something were over my head, I may try to understand or forget it. I'm not too proud to throw in the towel.
At this point and stage in my life, I rise to any/all occasions that interest me and that I am knowledgeable about, as for all other things, count me out.If something were over my head, I may try to understand or forget it. I'm not too proud to throw in the towel.
But what if you were deep within a waterless hole, too far down and too high to climb out of, would you still hold your breath? If I were in over my head, I would hold my breath until rising to the surface. I would release my breath and breath normally.
This is my answer too.If a topic were over your head, would you rise to the occasion?
Well, that would depend on the occasion. If the topic was, say, the mating instincts of the tsetse fly, I'd probably rise to the occasion by getting up and going somewhere else. A more general answer might be to organize your ignorance so that you know when you're in or about to be over your head, tread carefully and ask questions.
If conditions were sane, I would exercise sanity and think my way out. Rather than holding my breath, I would flagellate to the top. If I cannot aerodynamically boost my way to the top, the stench alone would summon aid to rescue me. Or die?But what if you were deep within a waterless hole, too far down and too high to climb out of, would you still hold your breath?
