Frankly, I would be okay with "Lord" not being used either. And perhaps some day it will be removed as well but society only changes in bits and starts...

I agree...no doubt someday it will be removed. But enough has been removed already, and enough people have turned their backs on God already, and the country, and the world, is paying a price already.

God comes up a lot on SF, I wonder what the younger generations feel about God. There continues to be a shift in belief and popularity about God between generations. Increased mobility and outside influence introduced new ideas and religious that otherwise would stay the same. Growth represents change, not necessarily for the best.

Obviously, our beliefs are important to us socially and as individuals. We choose our friends and who we hang with more or less to reinforce concepts and ideas about the world.

Would you please clarify which generational shifts are happening "about God"? The younger generation has less believers than the older generation? Well, I think statistics support that. But as for the reasons...I agree, "growth's change is not necessarily for the best"...Big Time.
