How Do I Deal With those Who Think Covid-19 Is a Hoax?

Thankfully, I have not known one person in real life who did not take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously or consider it a hoax. As far as online, I just consider the source and avoid them, many folks are conspiracy theorists, gullible, or just plain nutters. Not worth anyone's time, most are brainwashed and close-minded.
You only can control what you do, I think you're doing fine.
Maybe she's just had it, and needed to vent?

The best approach for dealing with anyone who still thinks this is a hoax, is to just give them a "Wide Berth". After all, if they aren't taking this virus seriously by now, they are obviously suffering from a "shortage" between their ears.
It didn't cause a stir Pam, if you can't vent here, where can you?
Perhaps the fact that someone that is close to me is dying due to Covid as I type. I am human. And if you were to read what I contribute elsewhere in the forum (specifically, @Ruthanne 's ) thread, you'd see that I've been stressed with the grave sickness (caused by Covid) of a very good friend.

I'm sorry to hear that Pam. My sister's husband's brother died in the hospital from Covid, didn't even make it to a ventilator. It's no joke, I hope your friend pulls through.
My best friend lost her mother a couple of months ago (due to Covid). Her husband is dying as I type. That is my honest reason for venting tonight. I am tired ? Angry ? And I'm human.

So sorry for your friend. Multiple deaths really hollow you out. No one in that situation needs to hear Covid is a hoax.

Sure! There’s nothing wrong with venting. I’ve done it many times. Sometimes it’s helped me and sometimes it hasn’t. Sometimes I hadn’t thought it all the way through first.
I don’t think you caused a stir amongst others here but may have for yourself, which was more of what I was getting at.
There are some within my family who don’t believe in the virus but we don’t see them now anyway. That was a bit scary but there was a woman who I knew personally who I’d see every couple of months who I don’t think took the virus seriously. She only had one mask that never stayed up. It was constantly falling down yet she never replaced it. THiS was somewhat concerning but we left so don’t see her any more.
I’m not sure how anyone could not take this seriously but they certainly are out there and are the ones to watch out for. I haven’t lost anyone to this virus so far, touch wood and send my condolences to those who have. Life has changed as we know it. That’s scary and I certainly don’t take it lightly.
