Are you still shopping at a Mall?..

I prefer shopping at the mall compared to the High street.. ( outdoor big box stores would be Americas' equivalent I think...).. but I like the convenience of all the shops right next to each other ,including restaurants and bars...

This is my local Mall.. about 30 minutes drive... outside in the same plot there's also a Costco, Ikea, as well as other Big Box stores..

I'm not a fan of the local 2.4 million square foot mega-mall.

I go every few years and gawk around like a tourist.

The building to the right of the mall is a hotel built and owned by the mall. It's used mainly for busloads of Canadian tourists that spend holiday weekends at the mall.

The lake in the background was once known as the most polluted lake in America. It has been cleaned to the point that it is now being considered for recreational use including fishing and swimming.

for example the pizza place in there wants 5 or 6 bucks for one lousy slice of pizza. the place is dead whenever i go in. the only place that seems to do well is the imperial garden and the pretzel place. unless i wanna go to the theater and pay $50 for a large coke and a bucket of popcorn. lol!

why does security do that? he wasn't hurting nothing.

part of the reason i avoid malls is because i like to buy things. i hate shopping but i can overspend in a heartbeat. i have to stay out of hobby lobby. lol!
I kinda feel the same way about overspending in Malls.. but I tend to only go shopping there every couple of years.. otherwise I just visit for the restaurants and bars which are mainly situated outside by the lake...

when i was on my way to new york we passed a sign for new england which i know isn't england. lol! but i wanted so bad to go there and see what it looked like. it was pretty where we were driving past. if i enjoyed travel more and had the funds i run around more.

we have bookstores out in our local high street in my nearest town, so I don't have to travel for those... and also several cinema complexes just a short drive from the house...

Oh yes...and many leisure activities...

This is our next nearest Mall..the biggest in Europe...the Westfield centre in Shepherds Bush London...

We have Westfield malls here too Holly, in fact the founder Frank Lowy called it Westfield because his first mall built in Blacktown which was 'west' of Sydney and 'field' because the land was subdivided farmland. I avoid the really big malls, too many shops and lots of noise.

My gosh it's the same mall....all over the world!

Many of our malls have been abandoned, torn down. But a few remain in the wealthier areas of my state. I haven't been to mine for a year.
