I really felt like a wonky ole senior today

I parked my car in a huge Shopping Mall Lot today and couldn't remember where I parked the car. I walked up and down the parking aisles clicking my car door alert hopeing to hear that familiar beep beep, but no luck. I was in a state of panic since I was desparate to pee and there were no facilities around.Finally, after searching for almost two hours my clicker revealed that hidden vehicle, however, I still had to pee. I opened the trunk (boot) and found a empty two gallon gas can and discretely relieved my self post haste.

You are too much, sorry to say that has happen to younger ones also. So funny. Mall do have restrooms . I have taken hours to find my car in an airport and was not old yet.

Just remember what is in that gas can before you fill it up again & put it in your lawn mower or something.

Well,you`re not alone,Lon. My friend,who was my two youngest kds daycare provider many years ago,just posted this on her FB tonight............."Shopped at the Capitola Mall for the first time today - accomplished a lot, promised myself I would go back and explore when I wasn't under such a tight timeline and then tried to leave - had trouble finding my exit and it took 45 minutes to find my car - first time I have ever felt elderly and a bit vulnerable - was the bag lady with all of my purchases and I actually cried when I finally found my car I was so relieved! Will do a better job of marking my spot in the future!

That's too bad Lon, I've had some trouble finding my car at times, but never had to spend that much time to find it. You should consider carrying something like this in your car for times when you have to use the rest room...http://www.drleonards.com/Health-Pr...nt-Relief-Urinal/24901.cfm?clickSource=SEARCH

I got one of these when I was in the hospital some time ago and carry it with me on long trips just in case we are on a turnpike or freeway and backed up in an accident and can't exit. This happened to us a few years back and I told my wife, "Hey, you know that plastic urinal that I got from the hospital that you wanted to throw away? Well, I think I found a use for it."

I never misplaced my car for more than twenty min or so, but now I ALWAYS look for landmarks like if they have letters or numbers on the light poles, relation of the car to other things tho NEVER to what it is parked next to, because that drives away. I've seen lots of younger folks roaming & gazing around lots with blank expressions, if that is any comfort.

An email I got: A guy walked out of the mall and looked all over for his car, he looked for a good hour and finally gave up and called the police to report it stolen. He then called his wife and told her his car was stolen and he notified the authorities.

She replied "Honey I dropped you off there 2 hours ago!"

My wife and I spent a good half hour looking for our car in a mall car park. Finally a security officer helped us look,
to no avail.
The reason we couldn't find it was because it wasn't THERE ! It had been stolen. Had to take a taxi home.
Got a good rebate on the car insurance and was able to buy a new car.
Two days later I got a call from a junk yard where my car had been taken after the police found it abandoned in an
undesirable neighborhood. I went and looked at the poor thing; it was a mess, literally everything had been removed;
engine, tranny, wheels, radio etc. etc. I almost cried.

In 1955 my family went to Calif for the holidays. I was somewhat of a nerd, Dad let me direct him reading the map. During our trip we went on a shopping spree at The May Co, I think it was called. It was an imposing building 4 stories high, parking on all four sides, every side the same. Hugh to a 10 YO. Me and my 3 siblings at the time were allowed to play on the escalators, it was our first experience with them. My father trusting sole that he was said I was in charge and we should meet at the car at a prescribed time. Up and down we went, I'm sure all the other shoppers we elated when it was time to go. We left and yes, we were lost. We wandered every side me in the lead and my siblings trailing along behind calling me names cause we(they) were lost. My dad came along with the mobile security van and located us or we would have still been wandering around.
