Do you find yourself with less energy than you're used to ?

Marci..I understand, I worked 10 hour days almost all day on my feet right up until I was 63.. By the time it got to going home time, I knew that even another hour would have been impossible.. but I always managed to get through the day without losing my energy...

I'm sorry you're already feeling this in your 50's.. that's young
food service is hard work and very hard on a persons body. some days i have to sit and rest before making the walk to the parking garage so i can go home. there are more and more days where i'm dragging myself out the door. one of the housekeeper guys can tell. he always asks if i'm ok. lol!

Remy..please don't compromise your health by staying too long at a hard job... I say the same thing to you @MarciKS ... it's absolutely not worth it, if you can find a way to afford to retire please do not wait...
i appreciate that but it's not looking good. i do however have the option when the time comes to move to the cafeteria permanently and i'd have to take a pay cut but i can probably manage to get by if i watch my spending. i'm currently looking at other sources of income that wouldn't be so harsh.

the work from home thing isn't looking good. so as always...one must come up with a plan b.

I have less energy now days. I get out once in a while but it takes more out of me than it used to. Been a good while since I've taken a trip. I'm more of a home body now days. I reckon I'd depend on some of you to take an enjoyable trip somwhere then tell me about it.

Took a 4 day trip and took 2 days to relax. It was a lot of hiking on uneven ground as well as more stairs than i am used to and we were at over 10,000 feet. Plus I did all the driving so my brother could take photos.

My answer to the question is Yes!
I'm 66 and I back problems have slowed me down, but there is a separate issue of slowing down and (for me) that has to do with an older liver. That's what my doctor told me. The liver does age, and it functions more slowly. As a result, you can lose the ability to process and fully absorb vitamins and minerals. I take a B-12 and B-6 for that reason. The slowing down of hormone production also causes tiredness/fatigue. There are supplements for that.

Same here, with the fatty liver. There is curative treatment now, if the FLD (staetosis) causes fibrosis, and if the fibrosis doesn't exceed stage 2. I'm sorry, I forget the name of the drug, and I have no idea if it's available in Canada, but it was approved by the FDA last year. It's a drug that cures HepC, and they found out it cures or stops the progression of fibrosis of the liver (which can be caused by FLD) as long as you start taking it before you have stage 3 or 4 fibrosis.

Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen can and does damage the liver when taken regularly or long periods of time. I know you're been suffering various pains for years, Holly. :( Could this be "How you got it"?

I haven't taken vast amounts of paracetamol RR.. good thinking tho'.. but I've always known the damage Paracetamol can do to your liver..

Well I don't know what else I can do..n-one's told me how I got it, and they don't feel it needs any meds, so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do to 'take care' of it...
There's certain foods you should avoid and others you should eat (more of). There's a lot of lists online.
I can attest that just kicking back in some fresh air under the vit-D giving sun is beneficial. Granted, fresh air is kind of hard to find but I've seen it in your pictures around where you live.

I know hollydolly, but I have to support myself. If I could find a decent manufactured home in a park that works for me, I might be able to sooner than later. I also wish I could look into other towns but that stepfather has me trapped.
