We took a four-cornered cotton flannelette sheet and folded it into a shape to fit... big, tall, skinny, small, we folded them to fit them all, thicker in the front for boys, thicker in the back for girls, and for naptime, nighttime, and outings, we doubled them!

No elastic-fit or Velcro in those days!

They came in pink and blue and were soft rubber, we wrapped our hair around them, then pushed the ends together, we slept in comfort, they felt light as a feather.

Oh, the memories!

I remember how some kids used to struggle to keep the hoop up, seemed no matter how hard they tried a couple of spins and the hoop would be down around their feet! LOL!

I wonder how students in the U.S. who haven't been trained in writing script can sign their names to anything. I understand that schools are beginning to teach it again, but that leaves out a large cohort. Does anyone know?

I remember one time I'd walked a rather long distance to get somewhere while also getting some exercise. I was tired and wanted to take the bus back. However, I had no idea what it cost and so couldn't even go into a store and ask for the right change without getting a pocket full of it. I walked home.
