Seems like life is getting back to normal. Although I'm not the brightest bird that flew, please carry on.
C'mon Gardy, you're one of the brightest here!Seems like life is getting back to normal. Although I'm not the brightest bird that flew, please carry on.
2.000 miles. ? wow, we are still not permitted to travel that far...not without quarantining in a hotel for 2 weeks at leastSeems like life is getting back to normal. Although I'm not the brightest bird that flew, please carry on.
Drove from Florida to Colorado.
Not even for the fully vaccinated?2.000 miles. ? wow, we are still not permitted to travel that far...not without quarantining in a hotel for 2 weeks at least
Nope..this is one of the reasons people are questioning why they should get the vaccination..Not even for the fully vaccinated?
Yes, this is true. If they tried something like that in the US there would have been bloodshed. But during the worst of the pandemic people who traveled by car to other states could have been forced to quarantine.Holly—What do you mean that you aren’t allowed to drive that far? Here in the U.S. our Constitution allows the citizens of this country the ability to legally travel between the states. Even now during the pandemic, the state governments may not intercede to stop a citizen from entering their state, however, the state may set and enforce a particular law to protect its citizens.
911.... the whole of the UK end to end is only around 850 miles..., part of that takes us into Scotland or into Wales...Holly—What do you mean that you aren’t allowed to drive that far? For the most part, this is correct. When the pandemic hit, we found ourselves in uncharted waters. There are laws on the books that gives the President powers to restrict travel, but there is that little thing called the Constitution that no one may override. This has resulted in lawsuits from individuals that have been restricted to enter an area. For example; it was reported that some out of state residents who owned property in the Outer Banks were denied access to that area and told to go home. I never followed up with this case, so I can’t report on how it came out. Like I have already said, the Constitution rules.Yes, this is true. OK, I understand. So, to be clear, Wales has a separate autonomy and government, right? If that’s the case, it makes sense that the government may be able to disallow non residents to enter. Wales is it’s own country and government and does nit act like a state where we are a Republic and we all operate under one single Constitution.911.... the whole of the UK end to end is only around 850 miles..., part of that takes us into Scotland or into Wales...
To travel 2,000 miles we'd have to fly and we're not permitted to fly except to countries on the green list ..Australia , New Zealand etc.. countries that don't want any other countries coming in who might have C-19...so for now we're not permitted to travel further than our own country.. and up until last month we were not permitted to even drive into Wales just 5 hours from here..
people are still permitted to fly for Business reasons or emergencies, but they must quarantine on arrival for 14 days.. in a hotel at their own expense
Hey Pappy: I am coming down there over the 4th. A former Trooper has a condo on the beach in St. Petersburg and he has invited my wife and I down for a week or 2, so we decided to do it. Florida will be safer with us there. Funny thing is, I can carry my weapon through every state, except Maryland. We are driving because my wife wants to stop off on the way back to visit friends of hers in Rocky Mount. Maybe we’ll run into one another, not literally. I’ll be the one with real red skin. I hardly ever use sun block. Most everything open here in Flor-a-duh. Masks still needed with anything to do with medical procedures. Restaurants are open but people are bitching about slow service. Everywhere you go there are signs help wanted. Reminds me of when I was a teen and finding a job was very easy to do.
Welcome down 911. I’ll be the one on the old 1987 golf cart riding around our community. When we were going to NYS for the summers, it frustrated me that I couldn’t carry my weapon because of Maryland and NYS. If I were to be caught, I would be charged with a felony. Sure makes it tough for us old farts to protect ourselves when we need to.OK, I understand. So, to be clear, Wales has a separate autonomy and government, right? Yes but only a devolved govt..as has Scotland... England has overall rule of the United KingdomOK, I understand. So, to be clear, Wales has a separate autonomy and government, right?
