A & E has a documentary program called "Intervention" that covers families of drug an booze addicts. I have never watched it but I happened over it so I decided to watch. A young women in her late teens I believe was an alcoholic even sleeping with a quart of booze on her night stand and carrying two pints on her at all times. She lived with the grandmother, mother and father two sisters and a little niece. She agreed to go to intervention and was very successful. She was interviewed after recouping and I felt a big sense of joy for her and her family. At the end of the show was a paragraph stating she had relapsed and was back on the streets. I usually don't get emotional but it was sickening to know she had blown her last chance as stated by the family.

I have been watching "Intervention" since it started. I think she could quit but I doubt on her own. Her last chance was that the family will not enable her any more. Its very hard to cut your own off but sometimes it is for their own good. Been there done that with family members.
