Back in the late 60's, I met this young Jewish lad. We hit off and my nose was wide open. Then I promptly moved from Chicago to New York to be with him.

His family was aghast. I was the dread shiksala in the flesh. We spent part of our youth together. His family finally accepted me. And I still remember a lot of those Yiddish idioms I picked up along the way...

Yes indeed, my husband used to golf with an older fellow who was Jewish, and some of the funny words my husband would come home with. :)
 
I schlep around the house during this hot summer. Today it is 90F again. I'm sure I moved to MN because I like cold weather. Hmmmmmm!
I definitely gravitate towards cooler weather as well, Ruby.

I don't like it bitter cold, but early spring and early autumn temperatures are my favourite.
