Usually the more capable partner/spouse takes the lead in a relationship. Such has been the case in my marriage and thus appreciated by me.

My wife works for the county mental health as a child therapist. The work very stressful so when she is home I try not to upset her, but I usually do. And as a result I feel I must yield to her dissatisfaction to keep the peace.

She is more powerful than me as far as intelligence, strength and determination. In the meantime I am not working and have little to offer her in work related conversation.

I hope I am called in for the Cottage part-time position I mentioned in a previous post. When I was working, we talked about our jobs. Now she talks about her job and I must listen because it is important I show my support.

Even if you don't get a paid position , why not volunteer somewhere ?..It really will lift your spirits, and also it will give you something to converse about at home...there's thousands of Volunteer jobs available.. just google Volunteer vacancies.. in your area..

Hot weather and high temperature affects my mood that leads to depression. Such as it has been as of lately regarding my relationship to my wife. That and my use of medical marijuana. I figured it out and negativity has dissipated.

How does one chose more capable? There are areas that each have more capability in but that as the years go by blend to improve a relationship. Or not depending on the couple & the strength of their commitment to each other.

You misunderstood, the more capable is not about compatibility, my wife manages house costs, menu planning. She better adapt for gardening, building etc. My wife doesn't understand technology, but I do so she turns to me for help. I am the primary driver and always ready for an adventure. We each have strengths and we help each other in life.
