How do you feel about people that keep looking at their watch while talking to you or...

... get out their phones and start talking when you're in mid-sentence. or keep interrupting you and changing the conversation topic?

On a scale of 1 to 10:
1 = doesn't bother me at all
10 = annoying to the max

Checking their phone often, I ask if their late for an appointment. That usually embarrasses them.

Acting like they are uninterested in our conversation, I say, you obviously have other things on your mind, I'll catch up with you later.

Why waste my time talking to anyone not invested in the conversation? I don't.

It's getting tougher and tougher to NOT look at your watch (or doze off) when someone starts droning on about their latest conspiracy theory. Especially when the same theory, or a similar one, seems to pop up every time that you meet them.
I don't think looking at your watch is impolite in these cases - - -more :D like self=preservation.

Reminded me of a date years ago.
We're having dinner & her cell phone rings 6-7 times. Each time she answers it & chats for several minutes. I could understand business or emergency calls, but I could tell from her conversation that it was just friends of hers.
I expected her to say something like, "Can I call you back later?" but she just kept chatting - some calls were around 10 minutes.
After a couple of weeks, she calls me & says, "I thought we were getting along great; why haven't you been calling me?"
I said, "I learned all I needed to know about you on our first date."
She said, "I don't know what you're talking about."
I said, "OK, so you're not only rude, you're also stupid."
She said, "Why don't you just go to hell."
I said, "I've already been there on our first date."

I've never been hung up on so suddenly. 😊
