			If any labor is going to be invested removing the boards would make more sense. Notice the missing sections so that pick actually looks like the best solution. The part where no cardboard is stuck shows deterioration. Not likely a buyer would not notice the missing boards & the wall above the base board showing the lack of ongoing upkeep.
Do you know how much they paid?Somebody bought it and fixed it up.

Ask your realtor for the list price & what it sold for. She has access to all this info.No. I don't remember how much they were asking - probably because I wasn't interested in buying.
