Stress or what?

Stress or what? My right hand shakes bad and can't hold on to anything with out shaking. Computer mouse no way. Have to use my left hand now. Born right handed.
Could be Benign essential tremor...I get it off and on, only in my hands ..I can go months and nothing, then I'll carry something heavy or I get a little stressed and it'll plague me for a few weeks ... it's nothing to worry about, although when I first got it I thought I'd got parkinsons' as my father had.. but thankfully no...

See if this fits ...

If you are taking some medications, Robert,
then I would ask the doctor office that prescribes it,
or the Pharmacy, if meds might cause it.
Or if that med might help it.

But I wouldn't stop taking any of your meds, without asking a doctor if the reason you take it, is more important, or if there is an alternative med that would be better for you.

No. I don't think there is anything for it.
you're right there is nothing that can be taken for it... according to my doctor.. unless it becomes debilitating ...which mine hasn't been altho' sometimes embarrassing when my hands or even just my right hand is shaking.. , but like I said, mine comes and goes.. depending on circs...

here are a few things tho' if Essential tremor does become more of a nuisance..

Sounds like it Holly

Overview

Essential tremor is a nervous system (neurological) disorder that causes involuntary and rhythmic shaking. It can affect almost any part of your body, but the trembling occurs most often in your hands — especially when you do simple tasks, such as drinking from a glass or tying shoelaces.

A year or so ago, I was given the anti-seizure medication primidone. It took several months, but did work for me. After a year of no tremors, they are back in the morning than fade as day goes on.

Doctor didn't really know he said. We will wait and see.
Both of mine shake now too. I think some of it is just natural due to aging. I also think some of it is due to my nerves being shot. Also my COPD meds cause some of it. It could also be from gaming.
