And it’s not even half over! 🤦🏼‍♀️

it’s 2.00 pm. So far we’ve washed the car, run to the grocery, blown off the porch, vacuumed the house, wrapped gifts, paid bills, mopped the kitchen, prepped food to take to a grandkids birthday party.

We drove 40 minutes, got there early to help at stepdaughter’s request. We’ve blown up balloons, made fruit salad, put up decorations, cooked pizza, and set up the various stations for finger food, drinks, pizza, and cake. Party is in full swing now.

When it’s done we’ll help with cleanup, then head back home, and shortly after that we’ll get ready to babysit Rons youngest granddaughter who’s not quite 1. They’re going out to dinner and then a show, it will be late when they get back so they’ll just stay the night and leave some time tomorrow hopefully before lunch. Once they leave we need to take the recycling to the center, run the weeks laundry and then finish the touch up painting in the den, each of us need to put time in on the home gym, back to the grocery store for food and lunches for the week, cook dinner, put away the laundry, then hopefully have time to watch a movie before we have to go to sleep. Whew!

It’s weekends like this that make me look forward to going back to work again! 😂

Oh, you young people - afraid of a good day's work. :)

I remember those days and glad they are over for me. Ours were centered around church, choir practice, teaching Wednesday night classes and all those pot luck suppers. Then in summer it was vacation bible school and summer revivals that meant you had to volunteer to feed the visiting preacher at least once. And you tried to out do his previous meals so yours would stand out. Glad to be retired and watching pod casts of todays sermons!

Well, we survived! Traded making dinner and a movie after for a leisurely, pleasant ride in the convertible to blow away the cobwebs with our favorite restaurant as our destination!

Bar Louie. Sunday night. Spinach artichoke dip, impossible burger, voodoo pasta, cucumber gimlets. 💕
