Would you wear paisley, stripes and polkadots?

Not at the same time. 😆 I had a muted paisley dress that I loved but gave it away when I became Muslim because it wasn't long enough. I don't like big polka dots but have seen patterns I liked with very tiny dots. Stripes for a woman my size...vertical is recommended. I prefer smaller stripes and have two blouses with small stripes. I would never wear striped pants.

I have three Paisley patterned silk waistcoats (vests), a Balmain hairline pinstripe dark suit and a couple of discreetly polka dotted silk Dior neckties (and some polka dotted boxers, but we won't go there!).

Either you've got style or you ain't!

I’ve never spent much on clothes so I tend to keep things very basic/conservative.

A traditional pattern in a scarf or tie can provide a little pop to a plain outfit. The same with a few pieces of interesting jewelry.

IMO the trick is not to over do it.

Less is definitely more.
