Priorities to get a Flight Out of Afghanistan

We all have been hearing and reading about the refugee
exodus from Afghanistan, not only refugees, but also some
workers, locals who helped to feed and look after troops,
interpreters and drivers, I could go on, but you all know the
score.

So who should get priority to board a plane?

We all have our version of an evacuation, from a bad place,
there have been a few in my lifetime.

What would be your opinion I wonder if a man and his 200
dogs and cats were being evacuated before human beings,
I don't think that you would be cheering, but this seems to
be the situation, the man Mr Farthing is an ex-Royal Marine
who started an animal rescue charity there, he requested
help to get out with all the animals. Last week has wife, who
is Swedish got a flight out on an empty plane, another error
I think.

This is a sad situation, sad for the people abandoned and it
is also sad for the animals, as I think that they will be shot
before they can get on a plane.

I read that NATO already had a long list of people who were supposed to get NATO-issued emergency exit visas, but our president authorized the pull-out well before the date NATO agreed to, and he didn't tell them. That's what I read, and there's a couple of youtube news-source videos saying that, too.

As well, the Taliban agreed to allow a certain amount of time and their cooperation while people were being evacuated, but seems they reneged.

Humanely euthanize the animals in this situation and use resources for people.
 
Per the following article in the news .....

Nearly two dozen California students and parents are among the thousands currently stranded in Afghanistan after taking a summer trip to visit family.
Twenty-three students from the Cajon Valley Union School District, just outside San Diego, are stuck in Kabul with their parents after traveling to the war-torn country, the LA Timesreports.
They are trying to make their way to the airport or board one of the US military flights out of Kabul before the Aug. 31 deadline to withdraw US troops arrives.
It was not immediately clear when the families arrived in Afghanistan, but Cajon Valley Superintendent David Miyashiro said they had traveled there on special visas for US military service.
They had gone to the country to visit their extended relatives, including their grandparents.


Why did anyone think this would be a good idea, considering that they should have known of the exit date approaching ??
Some have gotten out now, but the rest are still there.
