What is the difference in reacted and replied?

You may see these in the Forum. Sometimes it's better to wait, to respond to a post, as immediate, emotional reactions might just escalate the matter.

@Oldntired This topic struck home with me, because I have been working on it lately. Reactions come with hair-trigger speed, and I have been guilty in years past. Once you get in the habit, it only reinforces itself. In my communication with my Wife, especially, I have been working to respond rather than react. However, like being a good listener, it is not as easy as it sounds. It takes work, but it is work that pays off with a healthy relationship. There is a verse in the Bible that says "A soft answer turns away wrath". Maybe it's talking about more than volume.
