What Do You Subscribe to for Listening to Music or Programs

Spotify has ~ 365 Million listeners. Sirius ~ 35 million.

Spotify has a free membership so I signed up. The premium version was offered for a free trial. A month before it expired I cancelled because I definitely wouldn’t pay the monthly fee.

Sirius came free for 6 months with our new car. The only thing I got out of it was lots of phone calls trying to get us to extend it. Maybe this is different than the one where people are listening to various talk radio shows.

Podcasts - those I listen to if they’re free.

My favourite when travelling always CBC radio. Sometimes I turn on the local radio - if my husband isn’t in the car.

There’s something for everyone, I just haven’t found anything I’m willing to pay for.

Maybe if I spent time in my car commuting, it would be different.

I've had Spotify for 2 or 3 yrs. and it has always been free. At least, I haven't been asked to pay for it, nor have I lost access to it.

Of course, there is always YouTube for free music videos.

Daughter and I were recently talking about all the free music shares we had in the past, through Limewire, Napster, and other sites .. that was back in the day, when we burned music to cd's.

I donated all my cd's to the library.

I subscribe to Spotify and YouTube Premium. Spotify came with a free Hulu subscription but I seldom watch that. I like lots of podcasts and I listen to those and music both at home and in my car. I haven't had cable in years so the small fee I pay for the subscriptions isn't a big deal to me. I've had and canceled Netflix and Amazon Prime a few times and I just recently canceled Paramount+ after a short time. But this is about music and I'm very happy with Spotify. It's free but there are commercials every now and then if you're not a subscriber. Iheartradio.com is good and free as well, so is Soma.fm for a little bit of a diverse selection. And as far as I know, Pandora is still a free or subscribe service as well. It's too bad that I only have 2 ears! 🎵🎶👂😃

I listen to Radio 2 almost exclusively in my car which a talk. music channel ( no commercials ) .... but also now I listen to a new Radio Channel indoors called ''Boom Radio''..which is the first Radio station in the uk to specifically target Baby Boomers..

I watch and listen to youtube a LOT...

I listen to my own playlist on Google Home Hub or Amazon Echo ( Alexa)...

I have had Spoitfy ( which is Swedish in case you didn't know) for many years , more than 10 .. but I listen to that less than the others...

Yeah, it's CDs for me. I play them in my car and on my computer. I also have some playlists on YouTube, and I usually play it on my Roku TV while I clean house and cook and stuff. Me and Paxton (and now The Littles, too) have about an hour of music and dance time every morning they're here.

After 2.25 months of the free 3 months of Premium Spotify, I cancelled. It asked how how likely I would reconsider. I picked the most definitive NEVER. They’re still bugging me. Late last night when I turned on the free version, it wanted me to sign up again and have the funds come out of my Apple account. The wording was a little vague and I had to think about my response. Things like that really annoy me (understatement). Now, even if I were slightly interested, it will never happen.

I've had a subscription to Spotify for several years. I really enjoy making my own playlists of music and I also listen to a few podcasts. I also listen to NPR some. I can barely tolerate "live" radio anymore. The commercials are non-stop and the talking heads take up the rest of the time. Very little music.

Being a bit mean, I don't pay to listen to music or watch TV. I mainly listen to BBC radio 2 at home and in the car, and I download the occasional track from Youtube, but the quality varies. If I come upon a rare track, or one I can't find on Youtube, while listening to the radio, I go to iPlayer, find the track and copy it using 'Audacity'.

hardly use the car radio, or listen while driving...at home I use the internet and download movies, music.
