The US targeted an aid worker with a drone strike in Kabul, mistakenly believe he was an ISIS-K militant preparing for a terror attack, according to a New York Times report. In the process, the August 29 strike killed 10 Afghan civilians, including seven children.

No worries. They were Afghan civilians and Afghan children anyway... Who cares.... :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
 
My son-in-law is a Marine. Said some of his buddies that are still in the service said one of the drones had the bomber that killed 14 soldiers & others in its sights. But someone in Washington would not give the ok to kill it. So we lost many good Marines & others because of this.

American lives are important!
Afghan lives are important!
ANY lives are important!

Having said that, I find it hard to believe that a drone would be used against people but not used against bomber planes.
 
We may be in a new era of attack methods using drones world wide. They can be small or large depending on the target and flying under all radar.

I don’t understand this. The suicide bomber was carrying the bomb and blew up with the others. Are you saying he survived a blast that killed over 100 people?
Snipers seldom have to get permission (green light) to take a kill shot. When the snipers on a Seal Team, Rangers in the Army or other Special Ops guys are ordered to green light someone, it’s not likely he will have to again get permission. The snipers are like hit men in the mafia. Once they get the contract, they follow it through. Snipers in our military never travel alone. They go in teams. There use a process used before taking out someone. Snipers don’t often go after individuals. They look for materials to destroy. There is a reason for this.
 
This was from a drone; they were following him for over 1 mile. Since all military personnel was leaving, No one except the drone pilot saw him. They were afraid if they shot him, it would start another war. So permission had to come from Washington. He did not survive.

"I filled the containers myself, and helped him load them into the trunk," a guard told the Times.

The Times and Post analyses also called into question military assertions of "secondary explosions" in the courtyard. Times reporters could find no evidence of a second explosion at the scene. Experts pointed to the lack of collapsed walls or destroyed vegetation. "It seriously questions the credibility of the intelligence or technology utilized to determine this was a legitimate target," security consultant Chris Cobb-Smith told the Times.
