I was low on trash bags for my Kitchen container. It's a great "Simple Human" 13-gal. can, but their own bags are pricey.
I was browsing at "Target" & they're low on things like this, of course. I saw a box of 100 "Glad Leak Protector Bags With Febreze Freshness." I usually don't like things with a fake, perfume smell, but that was all that was left.
When I opened the box & unrolled a bag, the whole kitchen smelled really nice; not cheap or fake. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but I love it.
Also, the bags release the smell gradually over time. Scientific, eh? I've been using that bag for several days & they're not exaggerating; every time I open the lid, that nice smell is released. In fact, I'm sometimes looking for things to throw away. 😂

Imagine, getting excited over a trash bag..........

Its the old perfume on a pig concept.
Yeah, but usually things like that try to cover up a garbage odor & when you open the lid, you smell garbage and perfume.
With these bags, I only smell the good part.

Yes we have some perfumed ones here too..lemon and lavender usually.. I don't use them for my Kitchen bin because they're not big enough .. but I line my waste bins with them in the bedrooms and livingrooms

Turn one inside out and put it in your vehicle and or closet, I've done that. Instant air freshener where ever needed. 😉

win231, I think you have to get out of the house more. :)

I stopped using trash bags years ago. I found them unnecessary and more plastic waste for the landfills.

We don't eat meat or dairy so our kitchen trash isn't terribly disgusting or smelly.

Veggie waste goes into a small bowl next to my sink and is emptied once or twice daily into our city-issued lawn clipping and compost trash can. Kitchen trash receptacles (recycling and regular trash) get rinsed out and drained upside down in the sink overnight as needed - usually weekly. Bathroom trash cans, same thing.

I've been using those now for over a year. You only need one a week. I love the fact that they are "almost" puncture-proof. I put some screws in there by mistake. When I took it out of my steel container there, they tried to get out, but they did not puncture the bag.

I love the fact it helps make the house smell fresh.

I don’t use many either and the few that I do use are for things other than trash.

A weeks worth of coffee grounds, eggshells, etc fills a plastic bread bag and the rest is pretty much recyclables.

I also save any nice bags that come into my life. This week it was two Tyvek shipping bags.

I used to be cheap, now I’m green! 😉

If they are the same ones I got here 13 gallons they will decompose in the landfill in a year. That's why I got my first box of them.
