I know you guys, and so am I tired of Covid talk - but DANG... Another Variant??

Doing my research before thinking of taking the jab and so far NOOOOO. I think there are (5) new variants. Dang, they pushing the vaccine harder than a drug dealer pushing street drugs. To me, it's a HUGE puzzle which the pieces are just not fitting together. They are doing a News segment regarding African Americans being the most hospitalized due to being unvaccinated...WOW!!!

Hubby and I had a heated argument the other night - he took the jab not me. He stated he is soooo tired of people making excuses not to get vaccinated. I ask him what about the people that have underlying conditions and people that were told by their physicians not to take it..he said that is different. I had to remind him of what I am going through...he acted dumbfounded. There are numerous people that wish they have waited due to underlying conditions.

He made the statement "If you were in the hospital, I will not be able to visit you"... WAIT.. if you fully vaccinated you will be able to visit me. The vaccinated are making my case in not getting the jab..they seem so fearful and paranoid...not all but some.

I didn't see my husband for a month before he died because of Covid. Just phone and video calls. After being together for 50 years, I always thought one of us would be there when the first of us passed away. It haunts me.

Sorry, but I have little patience for those who won't take advantage of the one thing that would end this hell if only everyone would get vaccinated. It might not keep everyone from getting one of the variants, but there is a better chance of surviving.

Sooo sorry for your lost but there those that are not able to take the vaccine due to underlying health conditions and has been informed by physicians not to take it. I don't think everyone taking the vaccine will end the variants.... they will continue as long as "they" want them to. Again, sooo sorry for your lost.

😧😥😥😷..ooooh (((ceege)))..I didn't know...

This is why all covid cases are not covid. My counselor called me about 3 weeks ago telling me her receptionist called her and told her she had Covid..which she is fully vaccinated. I was in the office on that Thursday, she called my counselor on Sunday. My counselor went to get tested although she is fully vaccinated - her test came back negative. I did not have any symptoms therefore I did not get tested. I have an appt with her Friday. I called to see if her receptionist is ok. She said, she is fine, she did not have covid it was something else.

Over here it makes no difference if you are vaccinated, if a loved one is in hospital due to Covid you can not go and see them.
As for these new variants, all we can do is keep getting booster shots.
I have a dear friend in Israel who told me that most Israelies are on their third jab now.
WOW...interesting. But the vaccine suppose to help keep vaccinated people from getting hospitalized. Is it due to the new variants??

You keep trying to defend yourself. There's no defense you can use. Own up to it and take @Ceege's advice or risk learning the hard way.
Not understanding your post?? Defending myself from getting the vaccine?? No, not the case. No defense at all I do what is best for me as everyone else. Did you not read my post where doctors are telling patients with underlying conditions not to take the vaccine.

What underlying conditions do you have? Sorry, LBJ, I don't remember. Which anonymous doctors do you mean?

Don't feel the need to post my medical record. It's just not me, there are numerous people that I know of that were told not to take the vaccine. Also, people that have taken the jab said the side effects were worst than having covid..I'm assuming they had covid before they took the vaccine. It effect people in different ways...especially those with underlying health conditions. Some people don't have any issues. So far, my hubby have unknown weigh lost..vaccine, maybe, maybe not. Bottom line, we all do what is best for us.

"You keep trying to defend yourself"

No she is explaining. Also the only thing she has to keep defending here is her right to choose to do more research in order to make a comfortable decision. Instead of accepting that, she gets people trying to tell her what to do or change her mind.

I have no problem with those who have medical conditions that keep them from getting the vaccine.
We don't hear enough about those who survive and will have heart problems, lung problems (including lung transplants), and amputations. And those people caught covid from someone who was not vaccinated and will struggle for the rest of their lives. And, many will be those who refused to get vaccinated.

My cousin in her 70's has moderate COPD and is diabetic and had Covid, she said it was like a bad case of flu but she survived and as had no worsening or any kind.

I'm also going to add that my husband died a few weeks after the lock downs in the spring of 2020. By then, so many had died that the funeral homes were already over flowing. Not having any funerals. My husband wanted to be cremated and wanted his ashes scattered up north at a favorite spot of his. It took over a month to get his ashes from the funeral home. And after over a year we still have not been able to get family together to go and scatter his ashes.

I ordered a wooden memory box that holds the funeral home urn and things he used to carry with him and some pictures. So, for now his remains are in a safe and respectful place. But, I have no idea when we will feel that it will be safe enough to make that trip. Covid has even put closure on hold.

My story is not rare. Thousands have had similar experiences. I'm not alone in this.

So sorry for your loss. I was replying to your comment, "We don't hear enough about those who survive"
