Your true self on display.

It's not Facebook, nor Twitter. No, it's nothing on social media that reveals your truer inner most self, more than this. Fridge magnets. It's your loves, hates, and dreams on 'cold' steel for all to see. How many fridge magnets do you have? What's your favorite? And for those who don't have any, what secrets are you hiding? :)
BTW How did the tradition of fridge magnets start?

I have one fridge Magnet. It's my surname which happens to be also the name of a Famous literary Character... so I have the magnet of that person on the side my fridge holding the timetable of the Bin collecting days... :ROFLMAO:

It's a wonder that my fridge hasn't fallen over facedown from the weight of the magnets.

They're a hodge-podge, no particular theme, ranging from a copy of the "David" statue (which the grands always call the "naked man") down to to the usual insurance agent give-aways.

They mostly hold up the "artwork" from the afore-mentioned grands that I value above Picassos.

There are lottery tickets waiting to be checked. There are photos. There are magnetic letters. There are reminders of doctor appointments and car servicing.

There's a small plastic spoon with "I LOVE MEEMAW" written on it sloppily in red fingernail polish, with a magnet glued on the back. That deserves to be on the fridge.

It's an ever-changing display. Stuff falls off, new stuff goes on. The art gets "curated" frequently.

My refrigerator definitely fits me.......Alice down the rabbit hole.......

Magnets are my thing. Have them on my fridge and front door. I am still a rat person, so several rats. The LPF sticker is from Lollypop Farm, the animal shelter in Rochester. The handsome young man is my grandson. I have Christmas magnets that I put on the door

Those italics are for a very good reason. What have you got to hide is the argument that internet giants use when anyone baulks at their method of farming for personal details.
The answer to what are you hiding is simply: "Up your's, mind your own business."
Now before you get hot under the collar fuzzybuddy, my reaction is not mean't as a personal attack on your good self, but more the internet's ability to find out all it can about what we spend, with whom, and when and how much, and, and, and.

I have nothing better to do right now so I counted them. I have 17 and 1 is the calendar to write appointments and the days my son's work; some are smiling faces; one holds the grocery list and some are plain coloured blue plastic stuck on a magnet. Magnets are used all the time. My favourite is the picture of my last birthday with family at the Mandarin Restaurant.

I have way less magnets than I used to have. I used to have a couple from St. Jude, one from an online friend's business. Now I only have three: a pretty one from Virginia Beach, a bronzy looking one from a hospital I used to visit in the course of my field work. The most useful and oldest is a dry marker board that is "erasable". I got it from a savings bank that has been out of business for decades.

I have these magnets:
South Park kids
Holy Cow are you hungry again?
World's Greatest Daughter
Boomerang
Knoebels, Elysburg PA

I have favorite painting mini magnets from museums where I've viewed the originals, mini magnets from my 2019 DC visit to the National Archives of the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. Also have several from Quotable Cards.
