I have my grandmas recipe for chili sauce although I haven't made it in years. I used to can it back then but the last time I made it I put it in the freezer,

We had a lot of tomatoes this year so I prepared them earlier in the season in the amount needed for my recipe..
I forgot what a process it was and it sure didn't seem as tiring 30 years ago.
It does make 6 pints though.
I enlisted the hubby for chopping duty and he did a pretty good job.
Even though my house smelled like a pickle factory it brought back memories of my Grandmas kitchen.
I loved it spread on gooey white bread.
I have to eat gluten free now but I put some in a bowl and used a rice cake for dipping. I savored all the flavor and memories.
