When it's 90 degrees in October, and very humid down here, I refuse to wear dark clothing ....lol
Cotton and light colors usually work until the end of the year.

Nurses wear scrubs; prints, solids, green any color. So do lab technicians.

I don't know what doctors wear, I rarely see them.

I don't wear white pants, skirts, or dresses. I do like white blouses though. I was brain washed by my grandmother that people could see my privates (mostly my bum) if I wore white. How times have changed.

I wore a pair of awesome white denim (hip huggers) once or twice after she passed! lol I bet she was turning in her grave.

Well, These are not edicts and commandments from Heaven. They are made up by women, like us, who think someone's hair is too long, or their skirt is too short, or they eat with their left hand, or some other gossipy made-up rule.
Do what you want. Make your own rules or don't have any rules! Your viewpoint is as important, OR MORE IMPORTANT than whoever set these regulations. IMO

I think I do, don't think about it much. In fact I didn't know people did.

No one has ever accused me of being "fashion tradition" bound, or even aware.

Same. It’s not so much the rule rather that cooler weather makes me want to wear warmer colours. I don’t wear my pale coloured clothes either. We have four distinct seasons and I have clothes that suit all of them.

I think so. I had a handbag made for my wife but she rarely uses it..
Picture shows my wallet and brief case. I used to hunt alligators, so had access to lots of gator hide.

It's mostly a women's wear thing. For guys, it used to be for white bucks and seersucker suits but hardly anyone wears those these days.

I do not normally wear white shoes or pants, do not own any. But never did understand the tradition..but I am thinking it has a lot to do with white showing more of the snow, slush and dirt of snowy weather.

Mayhaps I've been away from a hospital environment too long. When I trained as a med tech, nurses wore a white dress. Doctors and lab techs donned a white lab coat.

I would if I were a white clothes, shoes wearer. I don't ever wear white, though, because it doesn't become me. I think that norm is a bit silly--wear what you want whenever you want to is what I believe.
