France thinks the US ruined French psychiatry

France thinks the US/American psychiatry messed up French psychiatry. They blame the over use of drugs, narrow definitions of various issues, conditions etc. The decline started about 30 years ago.

They could say something like eliminating some American standards and protocols from French psychiatry will help patients in France. My guess is changes are already being discussed because by the time this stuff makes the news the battle already has begun.

Got to admit America is like the most medicated country on the planet yet I've frequently read studies where outcomes don't reflect that.
