At the thrift shop

I love thrift stores and have done a pretty good job at purging my own home, so I'm very carful not to have to start the process all over again. If I see something I absolutely love I make sure I donate something the following week,
I love buying clothes that I can practice my new sewing hobby on. Sometimes I find fabric. If I mess it up I haven't lost much.

I was a devout thrift shopper before the pandemic. I used to stop at several different shops each week while out running errands.

I enjoyed it and found many interesting things to use and a few to sell.

Since the pandemic I buy more new things online.

It’s not as much fun for me but I find that it’s cheaper for me to buy exactly what I need when I need it.

I’m not completely cured. Yesterday I was examining a lift top piano bench in the trash room at my apartment complex. The week before it was an antique chestnut drop leaf kitchen table. I resisted the urge to rescue them both but it wasn’t easy!

The last time I was at a thrift store, I dropped off a bag of donations. My hubby went and bought a 3 iron (golf club)....for hitting walnuts off of our walking trail! LOL
