Some personal health news

Got results of blood test Friday. Cholesterol levels are now within the 'good' range. Total cholesterol is 200, right where docs like it. LDL, supposedly 'bad cholesterol' tho i've heard doctos say the main issue with that is if your blood sugar too high, is 95, below the target max of 100.

Have been watching my intake of certain things since late July, not so much as to feel deprived but just being more mindful of certain things. Of course there's also possibility that previous tests were skewed higher because i didn't know black unsweetened coffee could effect till nurse practicioner told me day before. Different than blood sugar rules.

Will continue being careful, follow up end Nov with another fasting blood test. But very happy!

Always nice to receive good health news.

@feywon so nice to hear good news for a change. I would think it won't be that hard to lower your blood sugar. It certainly isn't in the danger zone.
Actually i keep my blood sugar pretty good. They've changed the #since i was younger. "Pre-diabetic" is i think 120 or so now but i try to keep mine under 100. Blood sugar issues, both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia run in family--Mom, Cousins, Dad and one son, but those last two got under control quickly with diet changes. Son knew what his Grandfather had done and figured he could too. Neither them had to go on insulin. So i always watched mine.

And I'm happy for you. I'll be going for my blood work in a few days. I'm quite overdue. I was surprised that my LDL cholesterol was too high last time. I'd never had that issue before. Everything else was good, except I'm Vit D deficient but my calcium is a bit high. I ordered more Vit D today because the D I have here is a Calcium/Vit D supplement. I've brought and kept my A1C down from what it used to be. Keep up the good work my friend.
