Some wonderful short documentary films from days gone by... enjoy

Thanks @hollydolly , got to see my first car in one of the clips, a 1962 Hillman Super Minx.
Later we owned a Ford Cortina, but it was a much later one.
Being my first, the Hillman will always have a special place in my heart.

my second car in the early 80's was a used HIllman Hunter.

Not me.. I wasn't born, my mother who would be 87 now was but a child during the war...
Holly, rationing continued until 1954 in the UK, so your mum would have been about 20 then, I was about 16 and would have probably winked at your mum if I'd known her. :)

Love your videos. :)

yes but that was the end of it, .when she was 20..
My mother was raised in an Orphanage run by evil Nuns and was under their ''care'' until around 1952... she was 5 when war broke out, and then soon after she was evacuated to a farm in the country where they lived off the land , and the dairy cows provided the milk, and the butter and cheese.... so she never felt the rationing affected her.
