What are the gun laws in Australia? It doesn't happen in Australia so teachers are not faced with that decision.

"Maybe the parents are going to the woods & committing harry carry. Like the kid that killed his fiance out in Yellowstone."One of the boys in the picture tried to disarm him but got killed for doing what he thought was right.

When I was in school in the 40s & 50s we carried guns inside to work on them in the shop. NO one ever killed another kid or person. If there was a problem we settled it with our fists. Then we were back friends in 15 minutes.
A woman was murdered in a home-invasion in Beverly Hills, CA a few days ago. The suspect has a lengthy criminal history:Same here in Indiana. This past week two-woman & a baby got killed because the judge let the guys out with ankle bracelets.
they had beat up their wives & even shot a couple of other people.
When their bail was set at $250,000.00. The $%^* judge thought that was too high. So he lowered it to $250.00 but also they had to go back on ankle bracelets. Well, long story short. All three of the guys cut off their ankle bracelets, went & killed their wives. the other one the elevator didn't go to the top from his looks on the news killed his girlfriend's, 4-month-old baby.
He told the police he didn't want to pay child support for 20+ years.
Yes she was the wife of a music mogul (pictured with her) who jump started many music careers over the decades. I wondered how he could be home and his security guard and have this happen. But their home is so sprawling til maybe they were in different parts of the house.A woman was murdered in a home-invasion in Beverly Hills, CA a few days ago. WTH??!! So they bought him a gun for Christmas, he posted about it on social media, at least a couple of the school officials were aware that he had drawn a picture of a gun and a victim and wrote a cry for help. There's a meeting with the parents during which time the boy had his backpack with him. The parents knew he had a gun. Why the HELL didn't the school official at that meeting ask to see the contents of his backpack? WHY did was he allowed to go back to class? They really dropped the ball on this one.Ethan Crumbley may be schizophrenic. He wrote some weird notes and was caught doing so, which prompted the meeting between the school and the parents. His loving mother told him that he has to "learn to not get caught." View attachment 197273
So now the parents may be on the run to avoid spending the rest of their lives in prison.
My daughter and i were talking last night that this is one of the few School Shooters (so distressing that the phrase is routine part of our language now) we can have some sympathy for--nothing excuses such acts--but some things explain and mitigate. Not saying that there was anything forgivable about this incident, but when I saw the pictures of the students who were killed they were all very attractive. I can only imagine the student who killed the others felt very inferior and was lashing out. We all went to schools where there were "popular" students, "jocks", and then the "outcasts".
The shooter was most likely an outcast, bullied by the more popular students. The tragedy of this is that the father bought the weapon a few days ago and his son got his hands on it.
Not exonerating the shooter, but high school kids can be very cruel.
This is my suspicion as well, he's at an age where schizoid break common. My DD told me about the 'Learn not to get caught' comment. Geez...this kid needed help, he apparently even asked directly on one of the drawings he made: "The thoughts won't stop. Somebody help me."Ethan Crumbley may be schizophrenic. Here in Indiana, we have a law that says parents of kids "must" keep all weapons locked in a secure place. We also have the red flag law. If a person is mentally unstable, they can come in & take all the guns until they can prove they are capable of keeping them. One thing about all this....it may just open up a new method of gun control in prosecuting the parents of underage shooters....it's a start, and I'm all for that.
That's what I was thinking. He has 4th Amendment protection from unreasonable search and seizure, but it sounds like nobody even asked him if he had access to a gun, much less if he had a gun in his backpack or locker. The parents should have been asked if there are guns in the house that he might have access to.IMO, Both the parents, AND the school share responsibility for this tragedy. The parents, for making the gun available to a youngster who likely was having some "issues"....and the school for not checking the backpack/locker of a student who was facing disciplinary action.
With all the lunacy in today's world, and the number of school shootings in recent years, I would think that the schools would be paying more attention to students who are "misbehaving". But then, "Political Correctness" seems to be an increasing "priority"....heaven forbid that anyone should have their Rights or Privacy violated.
I carried a switch blade in jr. high school, in response to have gotten stabbed on campus.OK, everyone fess up and tell us what kind of gun you took to school when you were a youngster.![]()
There is nothing else. Garbage parents abound. And you never have to apologize for speaking the truth. These really seem like garbage parents. Sorry to say but what else is there. Is this their only kid? Let's hope so. I haven't heard any mention on the news regarding this.

What has changed in the past 30 years to make a young boy think that killing is the solution to anything?
