Offensive odour from Fish shop in small shopping centre

Yesterday I had a coffee and there was a fresh fish shop a little further down the way.
Can't stand the smell of fish.
Anyone else find the smell offensive?

I don't think I mind the smell if it is fresh fish and/or a cooked fish dish. But I long ago stopped ever taking a fish variety of microwave meal to work because there were always some people who complained about the smell, so you are certainly not alone. Also had one manager who couldn't stand the smell of popcorn (even if not burnt at all), since we were in a big 'open office' environment he didn't want anyone to have popcorn, he was a pain.

Fresh fish should never smell

There's a fresh fish market stall in our market square most days...and sometimes the smell from it is awful..yet people buy from it all the time... not me !!:sick:
Fresh Fish smell like fresh fish and when there is a great many fresh fish together to me the smell is overpowering and offensive

I don't mind the smell of fresh fish or cooked fish, we have fish at least once a week. I might not care to work in a fish shop though, that might be too much inside for a full work day.

@Pinky, I'm rarely in a butcher shop, but whenever I make tacos or hamburgers, I take a small amount of the raw ground beef, sprinkle it with salt and pop it in my mouth. Just did it again yesterday, we had tacos, hubby has a little bit too. I am a big gagger though, for many other things. Someone at work once brought in a spinach quiche and after one bite I had to scoot to the restroom to spit it out, I was gagging but I controlled it in public. The texture of an egg on a McDonald's McMuffin will do the same, many years ago someone at work bought some for everyone, and I couldn't take it. I gag brushing my teeth, etc.

As I've said many times, nothing to me is quite as offensive as the smell of fish. Never been one to order, bar-b-que, purchase or relish dining on fish. Thank you I'll order a burger please. As I age even a tuna sandwich has been taken off the menu.
