A pair of unvaccinated high school sweethearts left four children orphaned after they both died of COVID on the same day because the father was skeptical of the vaccines.

Unvaccinated couple Alvaro and Sylvia Fernandez of Loma Linda in California died on December 19 days after testing positive for COVID-19.

Alvaro, 44, and Sylvia, 42, were married for 25 years after meeting in high school and had four children together, including 17-year-old fraternal twins.

AIvaro, 44, refused to get the shot despite the fact that he suffered from diabetes and had other underlying conditions that made him vulnerable to COVID-19 because he was sceptical of news reports.
'He wanted to wait and do more research,' his sister Alma Hernandez told NBC Los Angeles. 'He Googled information. He didn't want to believe everything that was on the news.'

I'd say they died of covid because they are overweight and unhealthy.

Omitting elderly patients, among vaccinated and unvaccinated covid patients, over 80% who died were either obese, diabetic, or had autoimmune disease, or a combination of 2 or more of those. (and according to the data I've read, among those under 65, obesity was the #1 risk factor for death).

yes but they didn't die of being overweight, they died from Covid because they were more susceptible to it by being overweight and or diabetic...

The scientists and CDC have worked hard creating vaccines and advising on protocols. Problem is too many people listen to quacks on TV news and social media. They put all their faith in conspiracy peddlers. This is not the first case where vaccine refusing parents have succumbed to the virus leaving orphans for grandparents to raise.

"He wanted to wait and do more research." Chances are, the limit of his "research" was talking to other skeptics. Science has no influence on people like that because they don't know how to think logically. I don't know what he or she did for a living, but I doubt it was anything that required even a modicum of logical thinking. And it wound up killing them.

It's not that difficult to find out what scientific research has found about almost any topic or subject matter. All one needs to do is Google it, but that's too much damn trouble for some people who are willing to risk their lives, or in this case, sacrifice their lives. Now taxpayers are going to have to support their children. Taxpayers fund hospitalizations of "skeptics." These people who are skeptical of science but believe without a doubt in religion, which has no basis in fact.

It doesn't make you feel good about the future of humanity.
