Probably lots. Most people don't realize just how much sensory input does come thru to our dream states. It is a survival thing, meant to alert us to potential 'threats' or just things like needing to close a window we left open when house warm but a rainstorm has blown in.I heard a loud roaring noise in the middle of a dream, early this morning. Finally, it woke me up, and I realized it was the snow plow outside of my building, creating an unbelievable racket. I wonder how many drreams it got into!
I would need a thesaurus to describe how I feel about spiders...gross, disgusting, creepy, revolting, etc. etc.! I'm trying to think of something in my life that parallels those words and be a symbol for a spider, but came up dry. That's a good thing I guess!Even if it were a spider it might not be about spiders but about the emotions you're feeling-- spider might be a symbol.
Oh and i hadn't finished when accidentally hit post on my kindle.
Repeatedly? Please, for your own possible understanding, because often once we interpret the message correctly the bad dream stops, ask your DH to think about whether you sound more angry or scared.I would need a thesaurus to describe how I feel about spiders...gross, disgusting, creepy, revolting, etc. etc.! Yeah, I'd say repeatedly...about half a dozen times during the past year. Is that a lot? You sound really knowledgeable about dreams and such. Is interpreting dreams a special expertise of yours? I've had others that I'd love to know what they mean! I'll try to nail down my DH about how I sounded.Repeatedly? Yes, i have a good deal of experience in dream work. My own, my kids (who i taught at early age to look at own), friends.Yeah, I'd say repeatedly...about half a dozen times during the past year. I think that is a fairly common dream, at least similar to one that I have had for years. In my dream, it is near the end of the term and I realize that I am registered for a class that I never attended. I didn't even know where the class was held, what texts were used, or even the name of the professor. In one version of the dream, I don't even remember the location of my residence. I found that I could modify the dream by creating a set of notes including all the pertinent information and I could reference those notes to find anything that I needed. It worked for a while, but the dream always created scenarios that I had not anticipated. Ultimately the dream would defeat me. The dream, of course, was entirely created in my subconscious, so I knew that there was some underlying cause. Probably stress produced, but it made for an interesting game of finding ways to outwit my subconscious.I have recurring dreams about being back in college and not being prepared for an exam, which is odd since I was always prepared for exams and got good grades as a result.
I often dream about some of the jobs that I've had and going back and forth between being a mechanic and being a software engineer where I'm switching between the greasy machinery environment and the sterile office environment, to which I never fully adapted.
From these dreams, I often wake up soaked in sweat.
