VA markers for the grave of a veteran.

How do you trace a lost VA marker for a veteran's grave? The one that was promised to be put on his grave is lost. Yes, lost. For a few years, some things take years to get done through the VA, when visiting the grave, the marker has not been put in the ground. Yes, I contacted everyone and no one knows where it is. So, I thought about getting in touch with the VA to see about getting another one if possible and getting it done the right way this time.

If they are still made of brass it might have been stolen. Low lifes steal them for the value of the brass.

Sounds like it was stolen. I believe if you look up US Government, Veterans Affairs, you may get some guidance from there.

They make markers that can be epoxied to the gravestone nowadays, also I would see if some local veteran groups might have or could get the type of marker that you would like.

To hear of another VA problem...is distressing.
The suggestion is a good one.
Could you contact your State rep.. especially if he was a vet..
that he might want to help...for good publicity he would get out of it.
