emoticons not working?

I don't know if it's just my computer, but emoticons are not working today. Can't put a smiley face in a post. And when wanting to give a post a "like", my name shows up, but no emoticon. So the poster doesn't know if it's a happy face or a mad face!
 

Ronni, I see your emoticons from your phone, but none of the forum emoticons. I just "liked" your comment and the emoticon is missing before the "you". Guess it's just me. :( (I've had to resort to the old way of making emoticons)

Edit: Odd, but the colon/parentheses I used just turned into a regular sad face when I posted. Weird.

Well I can see your thumbs up emoticon where you “liked” l my post. Can you see mine from where I “liked” yours?

No, I can't see the emoticon or your name. Also the options at the top, like bold, italics, smiley face, links, etc. is grayed out and unusable. Oh, wait...I see where you liked my comment on a post further up. You and Liberty. It's a heart, but the left side of the heart has a chunk out of it, like someone took a bite out of it!
 
Not yet. I thought about rebooting. I'll give it a try after breakfast. That fixes a lot of things but somehow, and I don't know why, I didn't think it would fix this particular problem. It seemed more website issue related. But worth a try!

Seems like it might be just you given that Holly, Lewcat and I don’t have the issue which leans towards it NOT being forum/site related.

You may have clicked the bracket icon at the right side by accident, it's a toggle, click it again to enable all other icons.

Not sure about the emoticons, I would clear the browser cache or try a different browser.
 
About 5 minutes ago, I had a momentary glitch with the colour option. First time that has happened .. so, it could have been that caroln's problem was due to the same source. It's all good now.
 
Thanks Matrix, trhat took care of my problem! I must have clicked the bracket by accident...I didn't even know what it was for. It brought back the options ribbon and now I see all the emoticons. Thank you for the help everyone!

I'm referring to the heart smilie offered when you "love" a comment.

Earlier it was a smilie face with hearts for eyes. :love:

Now (for me) it's just a heart. ❤️

Edited to change "like" to "love".
