A Ukrainian man goes to a newsstand and buys a newspaper. He glances briefly at the front page and throws the paper away. The next day, he does the same thing. Day three, day four, same thing.

Finally, the news agent asks him why he is throwing the newspaper away without reading any of it but the front page. "Oh, I'm just looking for an obituary and I haven't seen it yet," The man replies.

"Well, there's your problem," says the news agent, "obituaries aren't on the front page."

"THIS ONE WILL!"

Some people believe Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax, false flag.....I guess they would doubt their own eyes with footage on the news about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Those same people called the insurrection of January 6, 2021 a peaceful 'tour'. :rolleyes:
 
You know this just proves my theory that soldiers are just the dumbest bunch of yahoos in any society. It's one thing soldiers shooting at soldiers but it's a very different thing blowing up schools, hospitals, apartment blocks with old people in them and killing women and young children. About Comrade Putin, he is making a lot of dictators look pretty good. There is no one like him on this planet and I hope the young folks are going to do something about stopping this mad "killing machine." I wonder how long his war crimes are going to go on until his mafia pals turn on him?

It is only a war crime if the prosecution can prove that the hospital was a briefed target and the attack deliberate and pre planned, not just incompetence on the part of planners or crews.

It is a defence to prove that you had credible intelligence or what you recently believed to be credible intelligence, that combat troops, including partisans, freedom fighters, guerrillos call them what you will, were being treated and returned to the frontline That includes 13 year old Girl Scout messengers having a gash on her arm bandaged up.

If you're going to fight a war, fight the damn thing, don't pussyfoot around.

As I've said before in these columns, innocent civilians, even if they include women and children, became extinct at Guernica.

I don't remember world outrage when the IRA executed a 6 month old baby with a single shot to the head at Wildenrath in Germany in 1989.

Sad but true SeaBreeze. It really angered me when those fools were calling Sandy Hook a hoax and astonished me when the idiots, some of whom were shaking in their boots the day it happened, called the insurrection a peaceful tour. That elicits a WTF??!! 🤬 from me!

WTF from me too. I never, ever, thought I would see anything like that in this country in my lifetime. I was watching it through tears and disbelief, the noose, the violent chanting, the calling for death and hanging, the attacking of the Capitol police, the basic act of trying to overturn a Presidential election in the United States of America, etc.

It angers me just to think about it now, those images will stay in my mind and heart for the rest of my days. What disgusts me more are those who downplay it or deny it ever happened. It warms my heart to see President Zelensky and his people fight so hard to protect their Capitol, risk their lives to fight for their democracy and their country....that is the true meaning of Patriotism. Bless them all, I honestly hope they can survive this vicious attack. :( Those involved in the Jan. 6th insurrection can go to hell....or move to Russia.

I am with you. And, also, under international agreements and law, targeting civilians is a war crime.

to be clear, The UN voted to condemn the Russian invasion.

That was 141 nations voted to condemn it and only 5 voted against it.

And that means, that the independent investigation of 141 out of 146 nations decided that the reports were accurate.

Percentages like that are extremely rare.
