Exorcisms in Movies

Your post takes me back. My first BFF and I took the bus to New York City to see The Exorcist. It was a cold night and we stood in line for quite a while. We even went into a little cafe to get coffee (guess one of us held the line though). That movie scared the bazoobas out of me! I had to walk about a block and a half after I got off the bus after dark....scary! She was getting off several stops after me. I'd say we got our money's worth. 😱 @fuzzybuddy
The only other thing I've been interested in enough to watch that showed exorcisms is the series Evil on Paramount+.
@Alligatorob: "I was exorcised once, but when I didn't pay the exorcist, I got repossessed." ROFLM*O!! 🤣 🤣 Good to have you back man.

@feywon I started watching The Shape of Water months ago. I was watching on my Android Box which sometimes loads stuff and sometimes doesn't. I lose patience with it, albeit a free source of entertainment, so didn't get back to the movie until recently since it's on Hulu. I'm maybe half way through. It isn't grabbing me enough, with my ADD self, to finish it in a couple of days (I rarely watch an entire movie in one sitting). Your assessment encourages me to get back to it. You were into Evil too, right?

i watched of first season of Evil, but when her kids were at risk i stopped. Should try again.

Watched a couple of more exorcism movies since my last post: An American Exorcism and Amityville Exorcism. Don't bother. They are both equally bad. You can thank me later.

Did you know that they are doing another version to be released in 2023? It does star Ellen Burstin, but no Linda Blair, I believe.
This is a sequel to the 1973 film about a 12-year-old girl possessed by a mysterious demonic entity, forcing her mother to seek the help of two priests to save her.
