Talking Trash

I saw a TV show that put a hidden camera in a park and only 2 out of 100 people actually threw their trash in the receptacle. People were walking through the park littered with litter and having to kick it out of the way. Why are so many people adverse to throwing their trash in a receptacle in a public place?

Since I have moved to a small Country Town from the City, I hardly see any littering at all. I think small towns take more of a personal interest in where they live.

I don't litter, no excuse if there are trash cans around. When we go camping, we pack our trash out or burn it. Sometimes if there is trash left from someone else, we'll throw it out. I'm a nature lover, and nothing is more annoying than seeing cans, bottles and trash in natural areas.

Our community is pretty much trash free. It's the six roads leading into the park that collect the junk. Fast food bags, beer cans, etc. we do have a clean up committee which takes turns keeping our roads in clean.

There is a beautiful hiking trail in my town and it always gripes me to see litter from walkers. Even if people were not raised properly, you would think a little common sense would kick in.

Just the way some people are today.......they just simply don't care! Just like how some folks treat restrooms in stores AND how management doesn't check on the cleanliness of the restrooms that often. Then again, some restrooms in stores/malls that look extremely nice and clean. Sometimes I think it just depends the type of people who use the restrooms. We have a very nice mall down the street from us and their restrooms are kept like ones in major hotels in Las Vegas........IMMACULANT/beautiful!
