Find Answers to Health Problems on the Internet

It appears answers to many health problems are right there on our PC's without going to a doctor.
There is a Wealth of health information on the Internet....often more accurate than what you can get from many doctors. A couple of the best are WebMD and the Mayo Clinic. In the rare cases when I feel the need to go to the doctor, I Always do some research before...so as to know what kind of info the doctor might need. Then, afterwards I research what they have told me to see if they got it right.

The way most doctors try to rush as many patients through the door, anymore, it is Very Wise for a person to do some research and verification before and after.

I find the online research makes me better able to decide when to go to a doctor, and what questions to ask when I do.

It is a great resource, but doesn't replace a doctor. Not until we can get prescriptions and surgery that way. Maybe a 3-D printer is coming to do home surgery?

Earlier this year, my neighbour went to the GP hoping to get something for her persistent backache ...

Several months on, the cancer growth has been removed and she is currently undergoing HIPEC treatment (sometimes referred to as a "cancer wash"). Fortunately, she should be okay but had she not gone to the GP early, had he not arranged a scan, had the surgeon not noticed a growth on her bladder, things would have got significantly more serious.

There was a time when I was more relaxed about health things and seldom saw my GP but, after my neighbour's experience, I plan to be far more vigilant.
