Megan Markle Wants to trademark a word that's almost 500 years old

I can’t decide if it is extreme stupidity or unmitigated gall that would make a person want to appropriate a word out of the English language and own it so no one else can use it.
She’s cute and all that but she never struck me as being a particularly bright bulb.

'unmitigated gall' was what I was thinking.

To top it off I think they've had a deal with spotify for months and have yet to do anything. So she's either looking for excuses to stall or thinks they can produce the ultimate experience broadcast. Sounds like marketing and signaling spotify they're working on it.

It's probably a challenge for them to remain in the US public's eye. Perhaps this was a publicity stunt intended to bring them back in the news.

By my reckoning, because he's Diana's son and a bit of a rebel, most Americans view Harry as a B list celeb. Meghan's a notch or two beneath that and is only interesting because of the family drama swirling around her. They're a curiosity here for two reasons: because we have no royalty and because Americans fell in love with Diana. Otherwise? Yawn...

It's hard to imagine a big US following for Meghan's podcasts (double yawn).

If Harry slaps Meghan, then Americans will get interested....maybe even for weeks.
 
Oh, please...just a festival of exaggeration and nonsense. She is just engaged in some kind of normal business interaction and some "journalist" is looking for a way to spin it as a controversy, so he can get his name in a byline.

She was in the public eye for a very long time. Zero controversy.

Now, suddenly she and Harry are horrible people?

This is mudslinging for some political purpose.


Bottom line is very simple...some teeming racist connected to the Royal Family did not want one of "her kind" in Royalty, harassed them until they left...and now is spewing venom at them, to make them look horrible...rather than whatever racist decided to go after her in the first place. That racist is the problem, not them.

By all means, read every single media account of her, prior to meeting Harry...and see if you find any controversy.

People are evil. Just attached to character assassination like it is an addiction. Oh, not to mention pure overt hatred of African-Americans. Just more racist scum doing what racist scum do.

She's just an ordinary person. Just an actress. One of her friends knew Harry, introduced her, like any gal meets any guy. They connected. They fell in love. And people just don't want to leave them alone.


Harry started the Invictus Games. Is that ever mentioned? He started games to honor British veterans. So, he did that wonderful work, but now he is a horrible person? He served honorably in the British army for years, including in combat, but now is a horrible person?

If someone is spewing venom and hatred...the person spewing the venom is the culprit...99% of the time.

To be clear, I don't think Harry or Meghan are horrible people. I just don't find them terribly interesting. Same as I never understood various public fixations with the Olsen twins, the Kardashians, or so many others.

Not sure I buy that racism as a big motivator (but I could be wrong). Many who've married into the British royal family have had a rough go of it, Kate being a notable exception.
 
It is not about whether they are horrible people per se but about the lack of loyalty to the parent and family that brought him up and continued to pay for his high flying living which he still expects even though he has literally walked away from them, trashing them as he did so.
Megan uses the race card and gullible Harry to further her cause on needing to be in the limelight and wanting a very healthy bank balance regardless of how she gets it. One only needs to watch her behaviour and how she 'controls' Harry when out and about amongst the crowds and dignatories, it has to be seen to be believed. For that reason alone she could be called a horrible person.
Both Harry and Megan do NOT practice what they reach.
 
Frankly, I think these two feel they are competing against the British Royal Family. This, I find amusing to say the very least.

As for her being an enterprising business woman, she files a new so called business venture under shadow corporations in Delaware, which is a tax dodge. She tries to get away with paying taxes every which way.

She also thinks that using that title of Duchess means something in this country and she should know better.
