It's been an awful week for me physically

I did something excruciating to my back, stubbed my toe so badly it swelled and turned full purple and hurt horribly, broke out in an itchy, burning, painful rash, fatigue, aching joints, pounding headache. It hurts to move and all I want to do is sleep.

My chiropractor is working hard on my back, I've been there every day. Thankfully my toe isn't broken, just very painful and I can still walk. The rash is Shingles. I had a previous Shingles outbreak which was hardly noticeable, but this one is very different! The pain is really bad, it's a deep throbbing pain, and the fatigue along with it has made it difficult and ultimately impossible to work. I took a covid test even though I don't have most of the symptoms. Thankfully it's been negative.

Ron has put up with all my complaints, made dinner every night, tucked me into bed when I need to sleep, and has taken really good care of me. And my sweet daughter Paige has patiently listened to me bitch and moan and complain all week! I just hope none of this stuff lingers, especially the Shingles pain and deep fatigue which is the most debilitating of all. I'm not used to being sick and immobile. I am SO DONE!!

Oh, very sorry you are going through all this.

Please be very careful regarding Shingles.

Our friend Dennis lost three family members in the course of one year. He was very emotionally distraught. He got very drained. He got Shingles.

It was so bad that, for a time, he was literally in danger of losing his vision.

Shingles can be mild or, can be quite dangerous.

Do take care...

Sorry to hear that and wish you a full recovery...soon! Glad your husband one of the good ones, and taking care of you.

It seems like some intermittent health issues like shingles, food intolerances (not full blown allergies just uncomfortable symptoms for a while) will make a stronger appearance again when one is already injured or ill. To me this is another bit of evidence for my assertion that stress a huge factor in health problems.
