Apples reduce your risk of cancer, stroke and ❤️ heart disease.
Harvard researchers found 20% less heart disease in people who eat apples.

Eggplant cuts chlorestrol and reduces artery blockage.
It is "jammed-packed" with chlorogenic acid, an antioxidant that fight bacteria,
viruses, cancer and chlorestrol.

• Drinking one cup of cranberry juice three times a day reduces urinary tract in women
by 50% according by Standford University researchers.

• Seniors who ate fish high in omega-3 fats..sardines, salmon, tuna, herring... monthly
had 60% less Alzheimer's disease.

In most of the studies done or articles that claim "you should be eating these foods " or "the superfood your not eating enough of "
we have all seen the headlines sounds like Advertisements not information.

Cranberry juice is an item more then one medication says do not take... so how many people that is out the window..

how many apples per day ..... ask the apple growers lobby bet they have the answer .....

Eggplant tastes like rubber to me....... can i just eat a tire?

all these items may have a basis but like many people i have known who followed every one of these were befuddled when they were diagnosed with items anyway ......that is no guarantee just hope it is working ....

I ate apples and apple sauce regularly and still got a heart attack at age 72. Still eat them. good apples are more expensive here than Unsweetened apple sauce. Eggplants are in the Nightshade family and that is often discouraged for people with arthritis. Too much cranberry juice can cause bladder irritation. Fish: I live in a part of the country where fresh fish are half spoiled by the time they get here (lived on the shore long enough to know) unless at a fancy restaurant, and canned fish is often high in sodium from preservation. They are all good foods, combined with many other good foods, all of which should be in moderation.

It sounds like correlation but not necessarily causation.

That said, I eat an apple every day with lunch and quite a bit of salmon and tuna, so it would be nice if the health benefits they claim are true. That's not why I eat them, though.

Apples - I eat frequently, but not once a day. More than that when ours are ripe!

Eggplant - I eat now and then, ate a lot more when I could grow my own in Florida, but have not had much success here. I do like them.

Cranberry Juice - I rarely drink, but I do like it, put a little vodka in and I like it better!

fish high in omega-3 fats - I eat a lot of fish, and take a fish oil supplement too.

So all in all I think I do ok. Not bad recommendations, thanks!

Every one's body and metabolism is different, so there is probably no "perfect" diet. The best rule is to eat a well balanced diet...IN Moderation!

The biggest single health issue is Obesity....it's the primary root cause for at least 1/3rd of the nations health problems. However, overeating, eating excess amounts of junk food, and failing to get some good daily exercise does keep our Health Care Industry well financed.

well I like aubergine ( eggplants).. altho' I don't have them often except in Lasagne.. but I had no idea about the connection with arthritis, and as I have Painful OA in my hand .. and the beginnings of it in my left hand, I'm pleased to learn about the connection

I have turned to the Keto life style and am healthier than I have ever been. I walk at least 2 miles (on country roads) every day, go to the gym 3 times a week to work my upper body. I have done a lot of pros and cons of this but I lost 55 lbs, no longer pre diabetic, no more joint pain and and more alert, and intestinal system is better than it has ever been.

Good for you!! That's impressive.

People who consume blueberries frequently have been shown by one study to have lower occurrence of dementia. My guess is that they're eating other healthy foods as well.

Regular, small amounts of avocado intake is associated with lower body weight.

Dr. Andrew Weil's anti-inflammatory foods is one of the best guidelines for healthy eating for all but a few people such as those with kidney failure. It's similar to the Mediterranean diet.
