I had the pole lamp repaired

The electrician must have come when I was out. Didn't leave a bill. I called him and he said his paperwork was in the truck and he'd call me. That was last evening and he hasn't called to come back to my knowledge. I am a little disappointed in it - just cheap light plastic. The old one had a metal frame.

Unfortunately, it was beyond repair. The top finial was missing and where it was there's a hole which let in moisture. There was actually moss growing in the old globe. The bulb that was in it had broken off at the socket.

They don't mass-produce those anymore so they're pretty expensive. One thing the new one won't do is rust, but I hope it holds up to all kinds of weather.

I wouldn't bug him about it if I were you. Maybe you won't be charged at all.
