Low water levels reveal body in barrel at Lake Mead.

Lake Mead: Shrinking reservoir reveals more human remains
No, not so far. However, with the current drought the lake will keep dropping for the next 6+ months. So it ain't over yet!
If this drought in the Western states doesn't begin to reverse....soon...the water situation there is going to become critical. Las Vegas may have to issue flashlights to the gamblers if Lake Mead drops much further, and can no longer generate much electricity.

While the western half of the nation continues to experience dryer weather, the eastern half is experiencing above average rain/snow.

The Mafia recently opened a new chain store, modeled after Crate and Barrel.

Called "Body and Barrel."

It's a home decor store headquartered in Bayonne, New Jersey. Wall decorations include stolen (and polished) hub caps, bookcases complete with a full line and range of brass knuckles, an arsenal of weapons including a 1930's Thompson submachine gun, and a framed photo of Al (Capone).

Just goes to show, if you want to get rid of a body, you have to burn it to ash then dump the ashes in the water.
Just think if a killer thought they were free and clear for 50 years and the police come to their nursing home and put cuffs on them. Fellow residents may wind up developing more heart trouble than the perp.

For others it might a relief of sorts.

If the climate continues to warm, and the SW drought continues to worsen, the U.S. may have to install a huge pipeline from the Mississippi River to the Colorado river basin, so as to feed Lake Powell and Lake Mead. Our entire SW could begin to resemble Death Valley and force millions to migrate North and East.

I agree with Don. It is clearly, a very very serious issue.

I saw an analysis of that one, not only would digging it cost a fortune and find huge environmental and regulatory problems but it would take more electricity to run the pumps than we generate in the whole of the Southwest.

Just not going to happen, much as we'd appreciate the water.
