The Queen Bans Harry, Meghan and prince Andrew

In an unprecedented move the Queen has banned her own and some say favourite son, and her grandson, and his wife from appearing on the Palace Balcony..In effect wiping them from future history books with regard to the Queen's jubilee.

In a weird announcement just minutes after being informed they were banned from apapearing ..Harry & meghan released a statement to say they will be happy to attend the jubilee....:oops:


The 96-year-old monarch's decisive action to only include royals carrying out official public duties, such as Harry's father and brother, for the Buckingham Palace parade was taken by her 'after careful consideration' - yet there are exceptions for some of Harry's fellow grandchildren and some of the Queen's great-grandchildren including George, Charlotte and Louis.

'The Queen has decided this year's traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday June 2 will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen', a palace spokesman said.

But it is understood the Sussexes have been invited to other jubilee events - likely to include the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral on Friday June 3. Andrew is also expected to be there.

The symbolic Trooping the Colour ban will be widely viewed as a rejection of Harry and Meghan, who quit the monarchy for a new life in the US two years ago, and to Andrew, who was cast out of the institution over his civil sexual assault case that saw him hand £12million to one of Jeffrey Epstein's sex slaves.

Royal biographer Tom Bower told MailOnline that the Queen had ended the 'mystery farce created by the Sussexes' about whether they would be on the balcony - but warned the couple, who have a big money deal with Netflix, may try to 'milk' the jubilee.

He said: ‘They [Harry and Meghan] have been forced to accept a downgraded role - grouped with all the other VIP’s - but are clearly desperate not to be excluded. If the Palace is not remarkably careful, the Sussexes will milk the celebrations for their own benefit. Hopefully, the Sussexes will be kept firmly in check to avoid their selfish interests dominating the celebration of the Queen’s awe-inspiring service to Britain'.

Royal author Angela Levin said the Queen had made a 'great decision' to restrict the balcony to working royals, adding: 'It will have such a different positive atmosphere if there are working royals who support Her Majesty.’ On the Sussexes' decision to attend other events she said: ‘The focus will be on them and how they behave, which the Jubilee shouldn't be about'.

I loved the wedding of Harry and Meghan. BBC America aired it all weekend repeatedly through Monday here.

They had the big wedding when they didn't have to. I wonder what happened after that. I think they have blamed the press partly but I'm not sure since I don't really follow it.
 
I thought I saw something about Harry planning to play polo with his new team, Los Padres, for the full season which would over lap the Jubilee by one day at least. Of course, I cannot find that same article now.

Years ago Charle's events were on line.( I don't know if they still are) They weren't exactly like meeting ambassadors, etc. They were like the opening of
Miss Grumpt's School for Girls, and the new factory for Britons Biscuits, Ltd., or attending the opening of a new x-ray machine. Further from the throne, the less significant the "royal duties'. I can see why that kind of life may not seem relevant, or even rewarding. I think what is going on in the Royal Family is what is going on in other families. Some are moving away and establishing their own families. And like all families, they don't get along all the time.

Good for Queenie! I'm with her. Banning Andrew is no surprise. He has been a very, very bad little boy! Shame on him. He can watch the ceremony on his telly in own home.

As for Harry and Meghan I just don't get it. I thought that a couple of years ago they wanted little or nothing to do with the royal house. They said they want privacy and their own lives without the spot light. Now, I read they are making some sort of movie. Really? These 2 lovers of privacy have been in the news almost everyday. Willy Shakespeare, said it all for me, "There is something rotten in the State of Denmark!" In this case Denmark is Harry and Meghan; the lovers of privacy!

Below is a photo of their 11 million pound home in California. They don't have to keep up with the "Jones." They are the Jones!

Holly, I think a few "woke" generation knew of her. She mostly acted in Canada, so I'd think the Brits would have been more familiar with her. She insists on using that Duchess title and it holds no water here at all. So, good friend, you are welcome to her in at least one of the Colonies.

No-one in the UK had ever heard of her much less the show she worked on...I can absolutely assure you of that!!

OK, Holly, I was just having some fun with you. We never heard of her either. I do believe she was an assistant on some quiz show years ago, and somehow got a job to work on that Canadian show called Suits. Frankly, I do believe most people are pretty sick and tired of these two and whether it is right or wrong to have them go home for the Jubilee is only the Queen's business. I saw the many festivities being offered and I hope you get to enjoy some. Quite an achievement for that Lady and she deserves the best.

Suits was filmed in Canada for US tv. We don’t want her in Canada either.

Would many Americans give them the attention (they don’t deserve) if she hadn’t married into the Royal family? They need these chances to go to Royal events to maintain that weak link.

Three cheers for the Queen keeping them off the Palace Balcony.
 
Her greatest acting claim to fame was as a supporting actress on a cable show called Suits which no one I knew of at the time the news broke they were dating had ever heard of. She had a lifestyle blog (The Tig) that was very well done but shut that down before she married Harry. I first heard of her when they started dating, read her blog and thought she was really cool. Then hints about her narcissism started making the press, before long she couldn't hide it. Now I think they're both toxic and deserve one another ...just feel sorry for their children.

I've taken this whole thing one step further. Since I have yet to determine their purpose other than to drain the taxpayers' purses and provide fodder for the tabloids, I have banned the entire royal family from my household. My wife has asked that exceptions be made for the Queen and for Kate Middleton, and this is under consideration.
