A walk behind my village...

The village council has restored a grass path that runs from the back of my property to the end of the village. They have also kindly provided a bench where you can sit and watch the world go by..

I've never even met another person on the path, let alone sitting on the seat. There aren't many people in the village, but it is well maintained by the local community and the county council.

There is also a little used play area (except for the odd village football match and the annual vintage vehicle rally). Here's younger daughter on the kid's zip wire.


Note that some of the trees in the background were uprooted in the recent storms.

It looks a nice spot to sit, relax for awhile. Napier council have provided some seats along the grass verge to the airport. I enjoy sitting there watching the planes fly in and out.
