Yes, Virginia, there are idiots where I live!

Around here, we have “low water crossings“ that often flood in heavy rains. Every so often someone will go around the barriers and get swept away. Sadly, they often pay for it with their lives.
 

I often wondered what would happen with these new cars if you got stuck in rising water? It seems the doors lock and the windows wouldn't open? Maybe some mechanic can explain this to me! If I drove in some water, I would want my window opened so if the water level went up I could at least crawl out. This is modern technology and maybe the gravestone might say, "Drown in his own car."
