Around here, we have “low water crossings“ that often flood in heavy rains. Every so often someone will go around the barriers and get swept away. Sadly, they often pay for it with their lives.

Every time, there's flooding, some idiot thinks a car is some kind of boat/submarine/tank. And who ends up sitting on the roof of the car in the middle of a lake. Duh! It has to be a defective gene or broken DNA, because they still do this, over and over.

I generally leave idiots alone if their car is stuck in the mud, they are on their own. sometimes even if the idiot is a good-looking woman.

Arizona some years ago passed the "Stupid motorist law" that says if you get your car drowned and have to be rescued, you will have to pay for the rescue.

I often wondered what would happen with these new cars if you got stuck in rising water? It seems the doors lock and the windows wouldn't open? Maybe some mechanic can explain this to me! If I drove in some water, I would want my window opened so if the water level went up I could at least crawl out. This is modern technology and maybe the gravestone might say, "Drown in his own car."
