That link I posted came from my cousin in Michigan and I had no problem with it.
Pinky lives in Toronto and I am within about an hour driving distance so no reason why she should not get it too.

Do you know the story of Canadian Club Whiskey? Back in Prohibition, the Mob was smuggling a lot of whiskey from Canada into the US, not far from where you must be.

The Canadian government had an interesting reaction. They did not shut down the Mob. They started the brand Canadian Club Whiskey, to capitalize on the revenue stream!!!

To be clear...the government started that whiskey business!
 
I watched the entire press conference live. While part of his words were gut wrenching as he
talked about the victims of his hometown, he also reached out to all Americans (including Congress) to come
together on some common sense changes while honoring the 2nd amendment. Made sense to me.

Yes, I agree, it was very sincere and he spoke what needed to be said.

I understand that but I still think celebreties should not become involved to get press. He could have silently done other things. Build a new park for children.

Purchased new desks, computers, have the inside of the school redone with new painting and or murals for the children.

He could all those things and not bring attention to him self.

Oh, I am sure he is doing all those things.

He's a good guy. Not very political at all.

Some years back, some people approached him to make changes at his ranch for some environmental thing. None of the other ranchers made the changes. He did not want to make the changes, but he did. And the reason he did it was not really for the environment, it was just that he had this old school Texas gentleman thing..of being civil to people. He really just did it out of politeness.

And I really admired that.

Now, personally, I do think the guy is plenty weird.

But, I am sure he is just crying plenty. And I think he is a good person to represent Texas and that town and the family...because he really is one of them. And then, as a professional entertainer, he is a good public speaker. The way he made those kids' lives become real for me? That is exactly what I needed to help me process the emotions of all those dead children.

Sure, I think there are plenty of scams. But sometimes, you know, it is just a human thing and not about pushing an agenda.
 
Don't get me wrong, I love and respect the guy but this one is bothering me. I like Megan Markle but she served no purpose in her trip either but for press.
 
Many believe that McConaughey was the anonymous donor that paid for all of the 19 funerals, a total of $175,000.
I listened to his speech, I do not think he was grandstanding,
I think the tears were real....it was a very moving speech and yes he is a good guy.
 
He is known for not wanting attention. You'd have to meet him to see that. He refuses to run for governor as well.

By the way, there is a rumor that he paid for the funerals. My source: a librarian from Uvalde.

He asks for nothing in return. Celebrities are human and are entitled to help others.

Don't forget that he was born in Uvalde.

He visited all the families of the victims, most of which are low income families.

Again, he is not seeking attention.
