I saw her in the 80's and she was fantastic. I knew she was a "diva" because when people were talking in the audience she told them she would stop the concert until they stopped talking, but she had that power. I saw her a few years ago at a small venue in Dallas and even in her early 70's she was still great.

Big props to her at 78 for still being an icon.

My favorite Supreme was Mary Wilson. Back then, I thought she was hot. I had read in a teen magazine at that time that the reason she was let go was because she was getting more show time on camera and more mail than Ross. Later, we found out it wasn’t that she was let go, Ross wanted to go it alone and with Gordy as her lover and backer, together, that made it easier for her to achieve success. If anyone had heard Mary sing solo, there was no doubt she had the better voice, but so did Ballard. Ross just had more pizazz. Anyone of those three ladies could have been the lead.
