Simple Ideas to Make Life Easier

thats a great idea and ive done it. have these round globe like solar lites which can come in anytime and
be fine lite.

i dont buy many plastic bottles, i refill reuse the same ones over and over. i refill add some fruit drops and
use them indef.

i also wash out any plastic bags ive used. i use them over and over til they bust. i rarely buy plastic crap now.
 
I used to refill plastic bottles but no more as I read on the internet its not safe. Bacteria grows in them and no amount of washing them gets it out. Also saw the same thing later on GMA. I do have some heavy duty plastic bags I scrub with soap and water to clean them after each use.
 

I've been using ice cream containers as plantpots for years.
I just punch some holes in the base for drainage.
The other big plus is, they measure 8" x 6" x 4" deep and fit 3 abreast in my propogator........
and......I tell friends when I give them one with a plant in them, that I don't want the container returned.....they never did anyway, even when I used to put the plants in real plantpots. šŸ˜Š
 
Michelle used to complain about me dragging in damaged or odd pieces of furniture until I dragged in a really cool looking mirror and repainted it to perfectly match her vanity.

I've dragged in and repaired and refinished 2 end-tables, a very unusual bedside table, a mid-century-looking coffee table, 2 small chests of drawers, 2 shelf units, and 3 mirrors. Most of it is stuff people left behind when they moved, and some of it's really unusual looking....unique, but not antique. I only bring stuff home if the construction is solid, otherwise it's not really reparable.

Ditto to what Terry said below - The plastic bottles also start to break down and off-gas harmful chemicals. Try reusing glass instant coffee jars, pickle jars, (any wide-mouth jar with screw on lid) instead. AND, you can drill a straw-sized hole in the lid to make it a bug-proof outdoor drinker. (-:
